FAQ

A few things you need to know about the car detailing business

What is detailing?

Detailing is a specialized service that exists to preserve the 'visual' value of a car.

This involves three steps:

Step 1, Clean - removing unwanted dirt.

Step 2, Protect - using chemicals to keep materials/surfaces 'like-new'

Step 3, Maintain - repeating steps 1 and 2

We take care of step 1 and 2 for you with the technical knowledge behind detailing chemicals, tools, and techniques. You take care of step 3 by making our services a regular part of your schedule.

What are conditional factors and how are they addressed?

Pickup/drop off or mobile fees, the size of the vehicle, stains in seats/carpets, pet hair, odor, excessive mess/debris, bugs, tree sap, road tar/paint, scratch removal, etc. All of these create more work and will increase the price of the service. In general, price increases are done in increments of $25. This will be discussed during the scheduling process. Any necessary price increases can be discussed in person and with the vehicle.

How long does getting my car detailed take?

Time frames per service:

Interior only +/- 2 hours.

Exterior only +/- 1.5 hours.

Ceramic Coating +/- 6-8 hours

Maintenance Washes +/- 2.5 hours total.

How often should I get my car detailed?

This is dependent on several factors as well as the desired goal. Our recommendation is at least yearly. If you really like a clean car, and want to keep it that way, we offer a solution for that.

What is a Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic Coating is a synthetic substance that is applied to the exterior of the vehicle that adds a layer of protection between your vehicle and; sun, dirt, bugs, rain, salt, snow. It has been manufactured to be much more durable layer than traditional waxes.

Why should I get a Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic Coatings are seen as the best thing you can do to protect your car's paint. A ceramic coating, when applied professionally, lasts for years at a time. Though it does not protect your car from dings, rock chips, and aggressive scratching, it does protect it from UV rays, water spots, and harmful contaminants that would affect the condition (and value) of the exterior surfaces. The cost of this coating is considerably less than the cost to fix these factors.

Is tipping your detailer common/expected?

Tips are by no means required. Our prices cover all of our expenses including compensating our employees.
